Insulation top-off

For attics with insulation that's mostly fine but thin or uneven in places — we add material where it's actually needed instead of starting over.

When a top-off is enough

The smaller fix is often the right one

  • Existing insulation is clean and in reasonably good condition
  • Coverage has settled or thinned over time in some areas
  • A few bare or low spots rather than widespread gaps
  • No signs of moisture, mold, or pest contamination
  • No history of leaks that would have wet the existing material

How it works

Add where it's thin, leave what's already working

We measure depth across the attic to find exactly where coverage has thinned or gone bare, then blow additional loose-fill material into those areas so the whole attic reaches a consistent, appropriate level. Insulation that's already performing well is left in place.

It's usually faster and less disruptive than a full removal and replacement, and it's only the right call when the existing material is actually in good shape — which is why we check first.

Why a top-off from us is different

Only recommended when it's the honest fix

No unnecessary removal

If your existing insulation is sound, we won't recommend tearing it out to sell a bigger job.
